Have you heard of "Steward Ownership"? Until a few weeks ago, I had less than a basic understanding of this ownership structure. Sarah Joannides, Managing Director of Alternative Ownership Advisors was kind enough to give us an impromptu crash-course and it is fascinating. In a nutshell, steward ownership allows for the preservation of the mission and values of businesses and the empowerment of employees by placing the business in question under a trust.
